WW1 BRITISH spec case.
One or two thing this was for medic. One to keep dirty needle and scalpel. Or too spit in. WW1 crazy they had the flu for frist time. In part of world they banned spitting on streets too stop the spread of the flu. Rare I haven't seen another one for sell.
I have noticed: cracks in seal. Case open and close screw moves freely up and down. Metal does have oxidation or needs a clean if like too. I started top of screw cleaning but some customers like old feel so I stop. Top has most dirt. Inside has a metal tunnel pull out. There was a  Scalpel and paper in it. Sold as I found it. Close up pictures can help show dirt better.
