1790s Schmuzer Hand Colored Copper Print
SUBJECT/TOPIC:
Hand-colored copper plate print. Color is excellent but does not always get captured in scan.
Schmuzer copper prints are some of the best.
A tiny paper thin above Fig 6 - Print has
typical
handling & age faults ; actually quite nice condition; Inspect photo.
NOTE: The picture not capture the fine detail in this print. Line engravings, when scanned, introduce exaggerated artifacts. Lettering is very legible, it just did not photograph well. The depression from the plate causes a shading when scanned, which is not really present.
