    Description

    Antique Japanese military sake cup from the Siberian Intervention time period of 1918 - 1922. The bowl decorated with crossed Japanese flags over a green national crest and gold kanji. The kanji above the " Kiri no mon " reads  "Siberia ", with the top row of kanji beneath the flag " Shusei " ( Dispatch in English ). The next row of kanji reads " Kaitai Kinen " ( Disbanded Commemorative in English ). The soldiers name " Shimamoto " appears inside the outline of the cherry blossom on the side of the cup as well as the unit designation " Ho Ku No Roku " ( 9th Infantry, 6th Company in English ). The cup measures 2 7/8" inches along the top and 1 1/2" inches tall. Will be well packed and shipped first class mail.
