Carved Green Bakelite Tortoise & Butterscotch Hare Necklace on Celluloid Chain

Tortoise & the Hare Figural Bakelite Necklace. I created this necklace for my Uniqlets line of one of a kind jewelry made with vintage parts. When I discovered the charming carved green Bakelite🐢 turtle, it seemed clear that he should be racing the🐇 hare. Now he is racing a butterscotch Bakelite hare whose google eye is watching him catching up. There is also a brown Bakelite flower. The parts are Simichrome tested. The pendant is 3” wide by 2 3/8” high. It hangs from a 16” long vintage, translucent green celluloid chain that closes with a new, matte gold plated swivel lobster clasp.
