Antique Medical CLAMP Rib Cutter Nickel Chrome NICE 10 inch

Antique medical tool - not sure of use - no makers mark but all hand made and finished - old style nickle chrome plating - NO rust or rot as usually seen - no worn chrome or balding spots to high points - inside hand stamped 35 to each handle - measures 10 1/2 long - weighs 15.5 Oz - working cutting size 1 inch but will take 2 inch max - clever cutter passes through the center of two sides - it gives equal cutting pressure with a clean snip while delivering a great deal of pressure , it has notches along one side of both cutting sides to immobilize what is being cut  - handles textured so they will not slip if " wet " - it will act as a clamp and one can lock the tool into place with a thumb screw nut - this would take off a finger with out any trouble
