    Description

"Fred Haslam & Co" (circa 1912) Metal Surgical Case
12 1/2" long, 4" wide and 1" high. It has flip top lids on each end to protect the tools inside.
The case holds twelve operating tools. For each of the twelve spaces, it has the name of the tool and an outline of the tool.  From the left, top to bottom, are spaces for a Catlin Knife, a Trocar, an Ear Hook & Spoon, and a Strait Razor.  On the right, from top to bottom, are an Aneurism Needle, six places for various Scalpels and an Eye Spud tool.  Unfortunately, none of the medical devices listed are available with the case.
The rust/dirt have been cleaned off and the original shine has been brought back to the unit.  The unit has minimal ware for the age of the item and is in excellent condition.  On the outside, located on each wing, are the trademark insignias with "Patented Nov. 5, 1912" engraved into the metal.  In the center, located on the inside, is the trademark insignia with "Fred Haslam & Co." engraved into the metal.
Items such as these are very hard to find and a unique opportunity for any collector of vintage medical items.
