Up for sale today is an Antique Doctor's
Traveling
Surgical or Medical Instrument Tool Kit made by C. W. Alban, St. Louis. The kit in is a small folding leather case or pouch. The case is as I recently found it in a local estate. There are a couple of tools missing, but its mostly complete. Only a couple of the scalpels or knives are marked. In the small pocket behind the lower group of tools was found two small envelopes - one with needles and one with 3 cards of surgical thread. There is typical use/storage wear, which I believe you can see from my pictures. A couple of the pieces do have spots where the plating is coming off, and a couple have some green tarnish to them.
