Antique Bloodletting Lancets In Original Case English Ca.1790

Description

Two rare antique bloodletting lancets in original hinged  leather covered metal case.Each lancet is maker marked. One is marked Salt & Son, Birmingham the other Millikin, London.The blades show some old oxydation but are in good used condition.One of the blade holders has a chip as pictured.The leather covered case has unmarked silver fittings.The hinge functions normally.These pieces were most commonly carried by physicians and date to the 18th.and  early 19th.century.
